Hannah Bryce Ely, CMI

I am an award-winning Certified Medical Illustrator and biomedical artist with experience creating a wide range of visual content for scientific communication.

I am currently a Medical Illustrator at MediVisuals.

Previously, I was a Senior Medical Illustrator at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as a part of the ATLAS Program and ATLAS Studios within the Department of Urology where I created illustrations and 3D models to communicate scientific medical research and surgical techniques. At ATLAS, I created over 200 illustrations for an atlas of robot-assisted bladder surgery, among other projects. I earned a BFA in Medical Illustration in 2015 from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. I am pursuing an MS in Anatomical Sciences Education from the University of Florida (2023). I am a Certified Medical Illustrator and a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators.

I have always had a deep interest in science, and have a background in general and human biology, anatomy and physiology, gross anatomy, forensic science, cadaver dissection, and surgical observation. I grew up always drawing and painting, surrounded by art, and have years of experience in illustration and design. I enjoy using digital illustration software including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and 3D programs such as Cinema 4D and ZBrush, to bring scientific stories to life.

I work with surgeons, researchers, physicians, clinicians, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, art directors, medical writers, and graphic designers to create a diverse range of medical artwork to meet each client's specific goals.

I welcome new projects and opportunities in the world of healthcare and science. I love bringing an artistic touch and storytelling visuals together with complex information to create clear and effective communication. I enjoy visual problem solving, collaborating with others, and constantly learning new techniques and medical concepts. I have a passion for science and art and strive to use my skills to visualize and communicate complex information clearly, accurately, and beautifully.
